I am co-founder of Borderless Productions Limited, a New Zealand based screen production company that works to create positive change in all the films, documentaries, TV series and videos that we make.
With degrees in Commerce and Journalism, I realized the importance of 'meaningful work' very early on in my working years. This drove me to gain experience in television because of its power to educate and bring about such great social change. My experiences in television and traveling abroad, helped solidify my dream to make films that create positive change in the world. The grandmother's voices have allowed me to find a way to use my skills as a filmmaker and as a television producer to do something that I believe is good for us all.

I launched Borderless Productions first in Canada with Q. We then decided to bring it home to New Zealand. Together, we make productions that make us feel great about who we are...ones that enlighten, educate or help bring changes to people around us. That's why I love A Grandmother's Tribe.
I studied Broadcasting and, along the way, a couple of other degrees as well. My love for filmmaking was evident very early on for me and today I have the good fortune of editing and directing most of the projects that we create here at Borderless Productions. Going to Africa to capture these stories will be a first -- a life changing and very important journey for me.

I've been working with Borderless Productions for several years now and am particularly drawn to A Grandmother's Tribe because of the incredible passion my producing partner, Q, has for telling this remarkable story. The voice of a grandmother is one of great perspective and benevolence. The love, compassion and care that these women possess is vital to all of us searching for a better understanding of where HOPE can be found in the heart of Africa. I am thrilled to do whatever it takes to help make this project and journey as successful as it can be for the grandmothers.

Waldenbridge Communications was created as a 'fresh business canvas' where the content and integrity of humanity's voice, through a diversity of media, could be expressed. Western culture, in particular, has been flooded with new technologies to "connect" us but paradoxically, we have grown weary by manipulated, fear-based spin that creates a greater sense of isolation.
As global communications strategist for "A Grandmother's Tribe", there has been an incredible opportunity to combine the process and content of media with human wisdom and meaning brought to life in this film. We hope that it will serve as a model for future Borderless Productions projects and towards a growing interest in the role of social enterprise in media.
Experience in educational television (development and international co-production) and a decade of entrepreneurial pursuits dealing with change and evolving lifestyles, the time had come to re-work the McLuhan adage... "the medium is the message". We are yearning for authentic messages in our media. Waldenbridge Communications was born.
PS: We have decided to add a companion book to the project. I will expand my magazine-writing skills to create an awareness and education piece to accompany film & DVD distribution.

I am the co-owner and Creative Director for a design agency called, Pacific Shack. We offer a wide range of graphic services from print design using traditional media through to interactive websites. In particular, we look at new technologies and how we can utilize the web as a dynamic place to learn and play.
We've teamed up with the crew at Borderless Productions as we feel video is about to explode in the New Media sector. We also feel A Grandmother's Tribe is a starting point to bring our two companies to show to the world what we can do together.
